Gigabyte A16 Pro RTX 5070 Ti Laptop Discounted, MSI Vector HX RTX 5080 Slashed
The story in short
Gigabyte and MSI have announced steep price cuts on their latest RTX‑based gaming laptops, delivering top‑tier performance at a more affordable price point.
Two major laptop manufacturers have slashed prices on their latest RTX‑based gaming machines this week, according to recent reports.
What we know
Tom's Hardware confirmed a hefty discount on a gaming laptop equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. IGN reported that the Gigabyte A16 Pro 16" model, featuring 32 GB of RAM, is now offered at a reduced price and highlighted its "Strong gaming chops in a slim chassis." The same outlet also noted a massive discount on the MSI Vector HX 16, which pairs an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU with abundant RAM and SSD storage. The RTX 5080 is described as having a maximum TGP of 175 W, indicating top‑tier performance potential.
Why it matters for gamers
Both laptops bring high‑end desktop‑class graphics to a portable form factor. The RTX 5070 Ti, positioned just below the flagship tier, offers strong rasterization and ray‑tracing capabilities that can handle modern titles at high settings. Its inclusion in a slim, lightweight chassis means gamers can enjoy premium performance without the bulk of a traditional workstation.
The RTX 5080, with its higher power envelope, pushes performance even further, making it suitable for 4K gaming or high‑refresh‑rate 1440p sessions. The combination of a powerful GPU, plentiful RAM, and fast SSD storage means load times shrink and multitasking stays smooth, a boon for streamers and content creators alike.
For anyone building a gaming rig, these laptops also serve as reference points for the current state of mobile GPU performance. Comparing them against our best Graphics Cards list can help gauge how close laptop GPUs have come to their desktop counterparts.
