What we know
According to TechPowerUp, the open‑world survival title entered early access on Steam in January 2024 and will reach full release on October 15, 2026 for PC via Steam, as well as for Sony’s PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. The same outlet noted that the game once peaked at 160,405 concurrent Steam players. Rock Paper Shotgun added that the 1.0 update brings a complete story, a larger map, and “way too much more” to explore.
Why it matters for gamers
The transition from early access to a finished product gives fans a definitive ending and a richer world to explore. PS5 owners will finally be able to play natively, which should boost the community beyond the Steam peak. Performance on the new consoles is expected to be smooth, but PC players should verify that their rigs meet the requirements – especially if they plan to push higher graphics settings.
- Expect longer play sessions thanks to the expanded map and story content.
- Cross‑platform visibility may revive interest in community‑built bases and multiplayer sessions.
- PS5 Pro users might see visual upgrades, though no official specs have been released yet.
